Improve Your Internet Marketing

Most of us have a boatload of PLR (Private Label Rights) material collecting dust on our hard drives, but I would guess very few of us know how to, or go to the trouble to monetize it. Yet PLR can be one of the most cost-effective ways to generate revenue.

I stumbled across a forum posting entitled “$27 PLR product made me almost $4000″, and it caught my attention. The post was clear, concise, and most importantly, repeatable by anyone.

I contacted the poster, Terry Telford, and asked if I could use his post as a “Case Study” Quickie for you. He replied quickly and graciously, and so without further ado:

I just told my subscribers how I made almost $4,000 from a $27 PLR product and they went wild, so I thought I’d post it here for you, in case anyone wants to clone my system.

Here’s what I did:

1. Record the ebook as an MP3 file. I used Audacity, the
free software you can download from http://audacity.sourceforge.net.

(note: If you aren’t comfortable using your own voice, you can outsource this very inexpensively by posting on Craigslist. Or, ask a friend to read it while you record it!)

2. Edit the ebook. Include some advertising for your other
products and a few affiliate links.

3. Rename the ebook.

4. Put new graphics on the package.

5. Edit the sales page that comes with the package.

6. Put the sales page up on your website and offer the
ebook for $7.

7. Offer the MP3 as an upsell for an additional $9.97.

8. On the thank you page where your customers are
downloading the product, offer them Master Resale Rights for
$27 so they can resell the package too.

9. On the thank you page for the Master Resale Rights,
offer your customer the PLR rights for your product for $37.

10. Take one idea or a couple ideas from your book and turn
it into a small special report that you can give away. The
report includes a link to the sales page for your product.

11. Post your free special report on as many freebie sites
as you want.

12. Write a series of articles with a link back to your
free report or your product. Your articles can be taken from
the product.

13. Put a post on your blog about your free report

14. Turn the report into an MP3 and post it on podcasting
sites.

15. Send a message to your subscribers.
